I have been thinking of trying making my own pitas. I love baking, and I hate paying exorbitant prices for bread, so it makes sense. The only reason I didn’t try them for that party is that pita chips were a last minute idea for me, and I had very little time left with everything else I had to make. I do want to try them, though, and it’s good to hear that they aren’t especially difficult. And I’m glad you’re enjoying my site! Thanks!

You may want to consider making your own pita next time. Although the price you got for the store bought was good, there is no comparison in taste. It’s not any more difficult than making bread dough and soooo yummy! I intended to save some for chips, but the kids ate them up as quickly as I pulled them out of the oven.
BTW~I just recently found your site and really enjoy it. Thanks for all the great tips. I’m trying your steamed eggs tomorrow!
