I learned this tip from a friend years ago, and it must have saved me oodles of money over the years.
Instead of buying a separate facial scrub, just squeeze or pour out your normal amount of facial cleanser and add about a teaspoon of baking soda to it in your palm. Mix it in your palm and wash your face with it.
Your face will feel super clean and really soft afterwards – even better than with one of the expensive facial scrubs.

oatmeal makes a good mask/scrub too:)
Excellent tip! I will be trying this one! I would love it if you would link it to my Tuesday’s Tips post here:http://couponomicstimuluspackage.blogspot.com/2010/02/tuesdays-tip-how-to-get-out-of-debt.html
This works for me too.
Great idea! I use baking soda for tons of stuff (washing my hair, cleaning carpets etc) but have not used it on my face! Gonna do that today! Thanks
I’ve been using a paste of baking soda and water to scrub my face for years. It works great, unless your skin is very sensitive.
I can’t wait to try this. My face could use a overhaul! lol
Great idea! I use a prescription cleanser, but it doesn’t exfoliate the way my over-the-counter cleanser did. Have to try it!
BTW, the link you posted at WFMW didn’t work…you may want to check it.
Oh! Thanks! I’ve fixed it.
Great idea
I love this trick, too! Baking soda + soap is a wonder cleaner for many household surfaces as well.
