On Five J’s, Joy posted a great link to a free site about practicing for the SAT, including a free “Question of the Day”.

The Hillbilly Housewife wrote an awesome post about manners. I love the quote she used, “It’s not a list of dos and don’ts designed to trip us up.  It’s a GPS that talks us through unfamiliar new territory.”

Well, this isn’t from a blog — my son found a free online version of Lemmings! It’s one of my all-time favorite video games, and it really sharpens those critical thinking skills.

Parmesan Chicken Recipe

Apparently, I’m continuing my trend this week of utterly ignoring my menu plan. Wednesday morning, I was surfing the web and found this fun food blog, and then this amazing-looking chicken recipe. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. It haunted me all day. I told myself, “Self, you can make those next week”, but I wouldn’t listen. So I made them Wednesday night.

Of course, there were some changes. I don’t buy pre-seasoned bread crumbs, so I had to adapt that right away. I used some of the crumbs I keep in my freezer, and added a little oregano,

We had planned for my kids to spend the night with my mom last night, while I went to pool league, but that didn’t happen. So I decided to make a recipe that I found yesterday while surfing – Simply Recipes’  Tuna Pasta with Capers in White Wine Sauce looked so yummy, and I had everything on hand, so why not?
